LONDON COLLECTIONS SS13 LIVESTREAM

Huzzah! Finally London menswear designers get the chance to shine in this mini fashion week called 'London Collections: Men', from today till Sunday. After years of being unfortunately placed on the fashion week calendar and after fashion pioneer Lulu Kennedy started MAN a few years ago, putting forward formidable designers like James Long, Christopher Shannon and JW Anderson; the London menswear scene has finally found its own home. I really wish I could be there now - damn exams - but one day soon I'll be sure to get there. So enjoy the shows, just click 'read more' for the full schedule!
(update: I removed the livestream player, but here are two nice recap videos courtesy of Mr Porter)

IF THE SHOE FITS, PAY FOR IT AND LEAVE

Do you remember that one film with DeCameron Diaz and Muriel/Tara about shoes? You know, one sister is the hot blonde and the other one's the dowdy brunette who's not sexy because she's smart and not blonde but she has a f***load of cute shoes so that kind of redeems her even existing? I don't remember the moral lesson of the story, but I inferred this: designer shoes make less facially gifted people tolerable! Isn't that a fact to be fêted? I personally am rather apprehensive about spending all these €UROZ on accessories you are literally going to scrape over the street, but I guess that's just rational old me. Which one of my current favourites do you like the most? For some reason all these shoes point to the right, surely that must be some sort of subliminal omen, representing the path global politics are going down? Has fashion become ultra right-wing? Stay tuned, because all these questions shall remain unanswered!

THE WANDERER

There's nothing better than wandering. You can live in the same street for years and never have explored the little alley behind your house. I expertly recommend straying off the beaten track every once in a while. I went ambling yesterday and I fell in love with a creaky old green door. But what must one wear to a wandering? The kind people at Showroom86 provided me with the ultimate comfy wanderwear. A stripey, two-layer tee by Scotch and Soda, a pair of suède desert boots by Pepe Jeans I absolutely love and a pair of slightly baggy jeans that fit like a glove (also by Scotch and Soda). I threw on my trusty perfecto to match the look and I was off.

Want to be a wanderer? Better save your energy for the walk, and get your outfit online. Check out Showroom86's webshop, Facebook and Twitter. The service is really quite impeccable, speedy and very friendly. For all you online shopping addicts, you'd better bookmark this one.
Now, you've got the outfit and the rain has gone! All you need still is a great soundtrack and you're good to go! Are you ready to explore?

OZZIE'S DO IT BETTER

I'm absolutely in love with Australian designer Orri Henrisson. This shoot by Boys by Girls is so soft and alluring, and Orri's clothes are perfect for that dreamy feel. Don't you agree?
